HOLLA IDENTITY

The HOLLA (Horn of Africa Leadership and Learning for Action) project supports young people in Ethiopia, Sudan and South Sudan to become engaged in national and local development. The Project’s overall objective is to contribute to the development in the Horn of Africa in the areas of sports, arts and culture. This should form a platform for the voice of young people across the Horn of Africa and positively contribute to the region’s future.

3rd Floor created a number of branding and promotional items for this initiative to be used during events and presentations. A limited colour palette and minimal shapes derived from traditional African artwork where used which work well across the different designs and in a variate of media.

The brand icon was inspired by traditional African artwork. These "tiles" allowed for the region in which the organization operates to be highlighted in a contrasting colour and formed the base for the design

of the different communication tools. Adapting the proportions and shape of the different coloured triangular tiles created a recognizable pattern and flexible framework that could be used on a wide range of media.
